HEALTH INFORMATION STANDARDS

Transparent health information, with clear boundaries.

LabCare provides educational health information. It does not diagnose medical conditions, recommend treatment, or replace discussion with a qualified healthcare professional.

How biomarker explanations are created

Supported laboratory values are organized into structured biomarker information and plain-language educational explanations. Explanations are intended to help users understand what a biomarker generally represents and how it is commonly discussed in health contexts.

Laboratory reference ranges

Reference ranges can vary by laboratory, method, population, units, and other factors. Where a report provides its own range, LabCare is designed to preserve that report-specific context rather than silently replacing it with a universal range.

Sources and evidence

Health content should be grounded in identifiable, reputable medical and scientific sources appropriate to the topic. See Sources & methodology for our source-selection principles.

Uncertainty matters

A laboratory value does not stand alone. Results may be influenced by timing, laboratory methods, individual context, medications, illness, and other factors. LabCare avoids presenting an isolated value as a diagnosis.

Review and updates

Educational content may be reviewed and updated as source material, product capabilities, or evidence changes. Material changes should preserve clear educational boundaries.

When professional care matters

Users should discuss laboratory results, symptoms, medical concerns, and healthcare decisions with an appropriately qualified healthcare professional. LabCare is not intended for emergencies.
